jef turkey / avrupa icin gencler harekette dernegi is an association due to law code 4721/59, founded to work for the “peace at home, peace in the world” motto that is coined by m. kemal ataturk. therefore jef turkey works for making a contribution for the creation of a pan-european federation that is considered to be the first step towards peace and a world federation. improving the mutual understanding between turkey and european countries by enlightening and educating the turkish and all-european youth about values such as active citizenship, social responsibilities, participatory democracy, rules of law, human rights, and cultural diversities are the means of the purpose stated. jef turkey is candidate section of jef europe aisbl, a political youth organization active in 30 countries with more than 35.000 members; is one of the biggest youth organizations in europe. jef promotes european integration through the strengthening and democratization of eu. jef has close ties with europe
