maternity, birth, newborn, child and family photographer in columbia, sc my philosophy (otherwise known as my artist statement) "where you invest your love, you invest your life." i'd love to be the author of that quote but it is from a band called mumford & sons. this quote, from their song awake my soul, really resonated with me. my photography comes from a place of love: my family, my children, my friends, my memories. i can photograph almost anyone, but i love, love, love to photograph children. my portrait work has evolved over the last 6-7 years, and i'm aiming to capture the child not only as a child, but as who that child is: your child, your little human being. when i take a portrait of your newborn its not only a photo of a baby but your baby. when i photograph your child looking into my camera, i'm seeing them observe me back, i'm not only photographing them in that moment in time as a child but capturing their essence, their personality, their individualism, their humanness
