offer for sale original works of art by artist jenny crone. i am in a time of exploration and my paintings reflect that. currently, my work mostly references landscape, and that’s both an external and internal world. i am open to letting the two converge. i am constantly looking and collecting images from the outside world. when i walk my dog wensley or travel, i see elements in nature i like. i try to retain these in my mind to paint later. occasionally, i photograph the view. i also think about spiritually based themes and how to represent those in paint. i brainstorm ideas and pick colors according to my association with a landscape or theme. my goal is to translate the emotional, aesthetic and compositional quality about the subject that moves me. color guides me. and then whatever is occurring in my life at that time works its way in and is combined in the painting. there is so much i want to paint that sometimes there’s a congestion of multiple expressions pouring onto the canvas
