jerrboongun indigenous corporation is an inclusive not-for-profit organisation utilising leaders in the community to deliver comprehensive programs using core principles of understanding, nurturing, identity, togetherness, and youth. jerrboongun is boonwurrung language for join/unite! jerrboongun is committed to inspiring indigenous australians, who may otherwise be at risk of not embracing life, to reach their potential and develop a hunger to achieve life long goals through leadership, support and education. we employ early intervention and prevention strategies to minimise the risk of social exclusion, cultural ignorance, anti-social behaviours, suicide and domestic violence in current and future generations. ultimately, our programs seek to close the gap of 17yrs difference in life expectancy between indigenous and non-indigenous australians.
