the mission of the washington dc jewish community center is to preserve and strengthen jewish identity, heritage, tradition and values through a wide variety of social, cultural, recreational, and educational programs and services. while the center is designed primarily to fulfill the needs of the jewish community and to preserve and enhance the culture, traditions, ethics and philosophy of judaism, membership and participation are open to all. the washington dcjcc serves over 500,000 people every year, making a difference in the lives of jews and non-jews alike.
