jewish family service(jfs) was founded in 1987. it strives to improve the lives of the most vulnerable residents in the lancaster county community. jfs focuses on three major initiatives. jfs assists residents in financial need who are facing eviction and utility shut-offs. jfs also educates the community on the challenges of adolescents in our communty's schools. our third initiative is jewish family service’s senior care services. this addresses the needs of seniors who are home-bound, socially isolated, financially challenged, and who need services enabling them to remain independent in their homes. jfs is incorporating its existing senior care volunteer advocate program of friendly visitations and transportation,into this professional care management and caregiver service program which includes services such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, medication management, companionship, light housekeeping, laundry, meal preparation. our jewish values of justice, compassi
