the jhc has been visited by more than 650,000 people since opening its doors in 1984. its vision was created by the centre’s founders, who wanted to educate young australians about the dangers of racism and to develop an understanding of the holocaust. the centre is made up of several departments which include a library, education department, archival and artefact collection and an audio visual facility for interviewing survivors and digitising more than 1,500 testimonies.
