jh ecology is a specialist ecological consultancy which provides a full service of survey, assessment and mitigation advice for species protected by uk and european wildlife legislation including: badger, bats, dormouse, great crested newt, otter, reptiles, water vole and white-clawed crayfish. we also undertake habitat and botanical surveys including the standard ‘extended phase 1 habitat survey’, as well as hedgerow and phase 2 botanical surveys (i.e. national vegetation classification (nvc). jh ecology is widely experienced in assessing habitats and their conservation value and is able to provide the following services: • ecological impact assessment (ecia) • preliminary ecological appraisal • advice on mitigation and compensation measures • monitoring species and habitats. • advising on habitat creation and compensation schemes. • producing site, species and habitat management plans. • breeam assessments / code for sustainable homes (ecology & land use). • guidance on invasive plan
