Jhalakati Government College

jhalakathi govt. college, jhalakathi taking the name of jhalakathi college, was founded on 1 julay 1964 in and old building on the bank of the river sughandha with the inspirator of a great inspirator of education dr.a.zman within short period, the reputation of this college spread far and wide and with the great dffort of teh local common people, the college became well of established. but later, the college fell into the victim of river erosion and the major part of it took its place in the riverbed. in 1980,this college got its new place in the present area on the acquired land measuring 13.92 acres. it was nationalised on 1st march 1980 and step by step it has reached to the present position.
