Jill2day

jill2day is the studio name for jill kerttula. my reconstructed garments are both eco-friendly clothing and one-of-a-kind pieces of art. my primary outlet is my on-line store at www.jill2day.etsy.com and i also show in major craft shows throughout the us. this past year i exhibited in the neptune festival in virginia beach, va and in the chicago one of a kind show held in the chicago merchanise mart. my reconstructed garments are both eco-friendly clothing and one-of-a-kind pieces of art. each jill2day item is made from recycled clothing purchased from charity shops. these items are carefully cut apart and then reconstructed into new garments. i do not use any patterns in my sewing. each garment is draped - or sculpted - on one of my dress forms and then the parts are sewn together on my industrial serger. my years of fine art and graphic design have honed my sense of color and design. my love of nature continues to inspire both the colors and the styles of my garments, as well as my c
