i’m an apprentice trained mechanical design, sales and project engineer with 22 years’ experience in the manufacturing industry, 16 years of which have been in the oil and gas industry (cross coupling protector sales, design and manufacture). in my career i have worked in many industries such as aerospace, medical, food, construction, play equipment and consumer goods. with designs ranging from factories and offices to bespoke industrial equipment and sectional climbing walls. i love the challenge of new design types and disciplines and can quickly adapt my skill set to service these. qa is very important to me and i like to try to proceduralise design to ensure conformity of output. in 2005 i achieved iso 9001-2000 for my employer and have routinely done internal audit activities to both iso 9001 and 14001. my current training includes working towards a beng degree, which i hope to complete within the next 5 years and i have begun studying towards pmp, six sigma and prince 2 certifica
