Jenny Lam for School Board

in november 2019, jenny lam was elected to serve as a commissioner on the board of education. she brings a student-first approach to her work that is informed by her being a public school parent. she volunteers in her children's schools, and has previously served as co-chair of two san francisco unified school district committees: the public education & enrichment fund committee and the quality teacher and education act committee. jenny is an experienced community organizer and education leader. she is the former state engagement manager at education superhighway, where she brought technology to schools statewide. as director of programs at chinese for affirmative action, jenny expanded civil and political rights for san francisco’s immigrant youth and families. she also served as executive director of girlventures and deputy director of oakland asian students educational services. a san francisco bay area native and second-generation chinese american, jenny serves as mayor london
