jo head has been in the photographic industry for 20 years. her extensive experience has been informed by her years of work as a photo journalist in the lower north island. working firstly as a staff photographer on the wairarapa times age and then progressing to wellington’s award winning daily newspaper, the evening post. through jo's keen sense of empathy for her subjects and artists eye she produced many celebrated images. over the last 7 years jo has based her work in auckland freelancing for magazines. her work regularly features in publications such as next, north & south and little treasures. jo has worked extensively throughout her career with wedding and portrait photography which she shoots with a relaxed documentary style producing stunning natural images capturing the true essence of the day. jo loves to tell a story though her images. it is what she does best. jo’s passion is people. her sensitivity and relaxed nature ensures she gets the very best from her subjects. she
