jo thorne london is a high-end bridal hair accessories brand, the brainchild of british jewellery designer jo thorne and graphic designer michael parfitt. inspired by a paucity of good design in the wedding hair accessories market, and in particular the conspicuous absence of a talented designer-maker, jo spotted an opportunity for design-driven invention and innovation in a market that was more or less virgin territory. jo’s first collection was taken by liberty in 2002, and shortly after pieces began to appear in top bridal magazines. in 2005, jo joined forces with graphic designer and co-creative director michael parfitt, and out of that partnership a company with a unique profile and identity was born. jo thorne london and the retail website was formally founded the same year, and has since gone from strength to strength in its mission to create authentic statement jewellery for grown-up design-conscious brides – a cult artisan brand renowned for sharp contemporary collections whic
