drawing on her experience in design, fashion, and international culture, joan descombes knows the importance of designing a living space that reflects the taste and lifestyle of each individual client. joan’s work appears frequently in major consumer and trade publications, and she is regarded internationally as a leader in kitchen interior design. in 2010, joan became a back-to-back first place regional winner of the sub zero kitchen design contest. joan’s expertise comes from her background, education, and work experience. prior to attending columbia university’s graduate school in international business, joan received her bachelor’s degree from new york university and studied interior design at parson’s school of design in new york. she also acquired years of experience as an international marketing and general management executive with estee lauder, revlon and young & rubicam, working primarily in europe. joan has dual citizenship with switzerland and has lived in zurich.
