joan simpson is a freelance experience designer creating and designing mobile applications for a leading digital storytelling platform for museums and cultural destinations which include many major institutions such as the metropolitan museum of art, the smithsonian and the national park service. she also works as a freelance book cover designer and was the head of digital and e-commerce for a british publisher that produces books in a variety of subject areas including those in association with the victoria & albert museum, british museum, museum of london and the national trust to name a few. prior to her current roles, joan worked on various projects as a ui/ux designer, was the head of the library, archive, information and knowledge management at the royal society of arts in london, england, the interim museum director & heritage manager at the russell-cotes art gallery & museum in bournemouth, england and was also based in los angeles, california as a director of information & lib
