the jobs summit is a social platform that coordinates the collaboration of industrial sectors to create sustainable employment for youth. we focus on development of skills and enterprise for youth to promote inclusive growth and economic stability. the challenge today, every second youth in south africa is unemployed. only 10% of the population is responsible for most of the country's economic activity. at the same, there is an essential need to develop workplace skills. for south africa to prosper, we need to vigorously promote the concept of inclusive growth and push for a level of collaboration across all sectors of the economy in order to turn this situation around. the solution many expect government to solve the unemployment crisis, but ultimately it is private sector that creates jobs. the jobs summit brings industry peers together to collaborate on creating and implementing new employment opportunities. currently, twenty industry task teams have been formed to drive sector-
