hi, my name is joey. just kidding, i’m not going to start this like that but seriously i hate intros… they always feel so forced and truly awkward. i’m no writer but i do enjoy writing… i have my own style and i like to do things my way. oh and i’m from minneapolis, mn & i’m 27 years old. i think the greatest compliment you can receive regarding your work is when someone tells you they instantly knew a photo was taken by you. the fact they say that they can recognize your look/style is something else. it’s strange because i never intended to come up with my own “look” or “style”. i guess it happened organically and i am thankful it did. i first picked up a camera when i was a sophomore at hopkins senior high school. the class was called media arts and if i am being honest i signed up for it by accident and it ended up being truly a blessing. i found something i love… it gave me an escape from reality. photography gave me a chance to capture exactly what i wanted to see and for some
