the original john roberts founded the business in 1880 when he converted an old cotton mill into a paper making facility. paper making activities were enhanced by paper conversion in 1939 and subsequently by corrugating in 1965. in 2002 the paper conversion and corrugating facilities were consolidated onto the current extended site when our purpose built paper conversion factory was added. over the years the business has continued to invest in enhancements to its facilities and machinery to provide the breadth of products and the cost effective, flexible service which our customers value. we are a key employer within the local community and the business continues to benefit from the depth of experience our people bring to it. this loyalty provides a high level of continuity and knowledge which characterises our values and approach to our customers. we remain to this day a private, independent business which offers a unique combination of both corrugated and converted paper products in
