John Robinson

john robinson is a freelance photojournalist based in south africa. he has been privileged to sit in on the lives of some, or just spend a moment or two in the lives of others and come away with images that convey an essence or aspect of what went on at that time. john has documented political change, news, features, social and health issues and african daily life. he works these stories while researching others, be they up the street, across the river or demanding of a packed bag, air tickets, laptop, extra music and some reading material. john came from a visual design background, he is a graduate of the market theatre photography workshop 1992/1995, and participated in a photojournalism program with the institute for the advancement of journalism in johannesburg south africa 1998. he produces news feature images, photo essays, portraits and social documentary imagery. john provides editorial images for print, wire services, online media and international developmental partnerships.
