john youngs are a norwich based construction company with chartered building company status. our ethos is to provide a quality service which exceeds our clients expectations. we have experience of carrying out housing projects throughout east anglia for all client sectors on contracts typically up to £5 million, but are equally capable of completing small and medium sized projects. james youngs founded the business in 1851. james took advantage of the great age of speculative building in norwich during the 1850’s, and set up in norwich as a carpenter and joiner in chapelfield road, norwich. during the first few years the company built more than 1000 homes in norwich, and in 1967 john youngs became part of the r g carter group. in 2005 john youngs ltd established its youngs homes division, which was developed specifically to serve the social housing sector. in 2014 youngs homes and youngs construction re-merged to form a dedicated housing division for the rg carter group. john youngs li
