John Charles Quimpo

john charles quimpo, more commonly known as jc, is a san francisco bay area actor and singer. born and raised in the philippines, he joined vocal solo classical and english declamation competitions in which he won regional and provincial championships. ​jc has been a part of numerous bay area theatre productions. recent credits include: • ed in mga bata sa selda 43 (bindlestiff studio); • tj/asst. dance capt. in sister act (theatre rhinoceros); • chris/dance capt. in the boy from oz (theatre rhinoceros); • bernstein in dogfight (redwood city players); • oscar in 42nd street (bay area musicals); • margaret mead/tribe soloist in hair (landmark musical theatre); and • tenor in patience (lamplighters music theatre). jc trained at the american conservatory theater in musical theater performance. he earned his bachelor’s degree in philosophy at the santo niño seminary, where he performed principal roles in the school’s yearly musical.
