Johns Hopkins Quantitative Finance Society
the johns hopkins quantitative finance society is a graduate student organization founded through the johns hopkins applied math department. our mission is to provide an open forum for exchanging trading strategies and discussing the intricacies of mathematical finance, as well as to educate members on financial theory. the organization was founded by johnny saldana, jacob feitelberg, jaiyu shao, and deepan islam to both complement the robust financial mathematics program at johns hopkins and to attract students who were interested in exploring alternatives to the traditional fundamental analysis based investment approach. many of our club members are current phd students, student investors, and/or curious undergrads who want to learn more about mathematical trading strategies. we typically meet once every two weeks on sundays, both fall and spring semesters. no prior experience is necessary to join so we welcome any and all interested students to attend our open meetings. contact
