Johnsonville Lions Club

we are a community-based club of friendly ordinary men and women, who take pride in doing extraordinary things together. we enjoy each other’s company and have lots of fun together. our own lions club here in johnsonville was formed over 50 years ago. since inception we have made many significant community contributions simply too numerous to list here. our current focus is on getting ready to launch the johnsonville children’s christmas parade, and on fundraising (in partnership with other lions clubs) to build a “playscape” healing playground at the new wellington children’s hospital. lions clubs are an international organisation of some 1.4 million people in over 200 countries. we are recognised as a trusted “brand” that opens many doors, significantly enhancing our effectiveness. our members are all volunteers. we all contribute to the aims and projects of our club as best we can. there is no compulsion or “must do’s”. collectively though, everybody’s contribution adds up
