keri johnston established a boutique intellectual property law firm in 1999, which is now johnston wassenaar llp. she has represented parties in contentious multi-jurisdictional issues (patents, trade-marks, passing off, copyright, anti-counterfeiting, contractual ip rights); and managed international and national ip portfolios on behalf of canadian and foreign clients. keri johnston is a registered trade-mark agent in canada and has extensive experience in the area of trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, enforcement and management. she is active in the profession, writing and speaking regularly on matters relating to ip and is actively involved with marques, inta, ecta and the canadian bar association. keri johnston received her juris doctor from osgoode hall at york university in 1994 and was called to the ontario bar in 1996.
