Joint Accreditation System of Australia and New Zealand (Jas-Anz)

jas-anz is an independent, third-party accreditation body established in 1991. we provide accreditation of conformity assessment bodies (cabs) in certification and inspection over five program areas: - management systems certification - product certification - personnel certification - inspection - greenhouse gas (ghg) validation and verification. accreditation by jas-anz demonstrates the competence and independence of these cabs. accredited certification and inspection of products, processes and people—called conformity assessment—has a ripple effect through the market chain, right to the end-consumer. it gives consumers confidence that their purchases meet specified standards and are quality assured. this includes retailers, wholesalers and individual consumers. jas-anz is a signatory to a number of bilateral, regional and international agreements. these agreements provide international recognition and acceptance of jas-anz accredited certificates and inspection reports.
