what is the cloud cfo? a traditional cfo is responsible for a company’s overall accounting system, and interpreting accounting reports so the executive team can make sound business decisions (source). the cloud cfo fulfills the role of that traditional in-office cfo at a fraction of the cost using cloud technologies. as a small business owner, you probably already wear the “cfo” hat, whether you know it or not. you may ensure your employees are paid on time. this is an accounting task. you may also make projections of how much you think your company will profit over the next quarter. this is a finance task. both of these tasks would fall under the responsibility of a cfo. while these functions are incredibly important, they can be a significant drain on an already strained resource – your time. you got into business for a reason. maybe you’re an excellent landscape designer, or can build anything out of wood. you probably didn’t sign up to scroll through spreadsheets or flip through ba
