Jom Science, Malaysia!

in malaysia, "jom" is an informal way of inviting someone to participate in an activity. here, we are inviting scientists to promote their work in malaysia, and welcoming the general public to embrace science in the country. the logo of jom science, malaysia! is inspired by neurons that function to transmit and process information. they are easily excitable cells and extremely quick in their actions. everything we do is controlled by neurons. science & technology and the pursuit for knowledge in these areas reflect the characteristics of neuron. s &t is extremely important to our live and almost everything around us is a gift from science. a society that is science literate will be at the leading edge, quick to respond to changes, agile and be able to make informed decisions. we are calling malaysians to embrace, demystify and appreciate science. jom malaysia, let us be a science literate society.
