sandra b. foote and val bolden-barrett are sisters and co-owners of jordyn-madison-designs. jmd specializes in hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind decorative items for the home. sandra had been making and successfully selling decorative pillows before jmd opened. valerie, a professional writer who was an art major in college, wanted to revive her painting career. on a whim, the sisters decided to combine their specialities -- sewing and art. their first collaboration was hand-crafted pillows and pillow covers. they weren't sure if there was a market for handmade home decor, but they knew people loved handmade items and the special feeling of owning or giving things that no one else has. visitors to this page will find links to news, articles and blogs on arts-related topics.
