josie alvaro design offers big studio thinking and public sector sensibility in a freelancer package. i bring more than a decade of experience in urban design and landscape architecture across a wide variety of sectors, places and scales. my main strengths are in the earlier stages of designing places - the analysis, strategy, vision and concept. the types of projects i'm best known for are public realm, transport infrastructure and crime prevention through environmental design (cpted). but i'm nothing if not versatile. i've even branched into branding, marketing, event coordination, community engagement and user experience (ux) design. when a project does need some expertise beyond mine or is based in melbourne, i team up with one of australia's most experienced landscape architects -peter haack. or if you're in adelaide and like to collaborate in person, i can even bring my office to yours with my trusty laptop. so if you have a project that might benefit from my unique combinati
