josiebear was created from my personal home longing as well and desire to share with the rest of the world precious and at the edge of extinction polish shoe craftsmanship. our slippers and sandals are handmade in polish mountains by local skilled craftsmen (and craftswomen) as well and small, family run shoemaking manufacturers. what makes them unique? not only are they the most comfortable and snuggling slippers your feet would ever experience, they also are irresistibly eye pleasing and of a high quality. sheepskin, sheep wool and leather are the main materials used to make a pair, moreover they are usually off cuts from leather industry production in the tatra mountains region. hand stitched and hand embroidered using traditional slavic patterns they quickly became on of the most beautiful and in demand home essentials. for me, it’s also my childhood and loving family home where we all have been not only wearing slippers but also offering them to our each of our guests. it’s
