joseba alfaro has directed dozens of short films, and he firmly believes in the french term “film d’auteur“. this does not mean he just makes “small” projects, and he embarks on genres such as science fiction or action, shooting outdoors and with all the possible practical special effects. for him it is very important to write the script and be part of the processes involved in audiovisual narrative. also, he devours commercial and studio movies, but until he gets to undertake such projects, he feels very comfortable producing, writing and directing his own ones. in his last works destroy madrid, rem or trimake, he takes over the cinematography and camera operation —tasks he feels very comfortable with. at the same time, joseba also carries out post-production work. since he began his studies focusing on film editing, he edits all his projects and even assumes the processing of some vfx. currently, joseba wants to focus his efforts on making balas ciegas, a feature film he has been wor
