Journey to Justice

journey to justice was created to motivate and support people to become active in social justice movements by learning from past and present human rights struggles. we are a newly formed voluntary organisation with supporters all over the uk. ‘we are caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied in a single garment of destiny. whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly.’ (dr. martin luther king, jr. 1963, from his jail cell in birmingham, alabama). dr. king’s belief that our lives are interrelated and his call for solidarity, is a message that transcends time, place and issue. true race equality is still a dream and the us civil rights movement remains a universal symbol for people fighting for social justice on every continent. our first project will be a mobile exhibition focused on the us civil rights movement, starting with the iconic music of the time to tell the extraordinary story of the men, women and children involved. the exhibition and related activities wil
