journeys within our community (jwoc) is a non-profit organization registered in the united states and cambodia. jwoc develops projects in southeast asia that reduce poverty levels, increase educational and economic opportunities, and empower recipients and supporters, inspiring ongoing social change. we work to promote economic, educational and improved health opportunities through access to basic services such as clean water, microfinance, education and community liaison programs. jwoc builds capacity and increases self-reliance, helping struggling communities to face daily challenges and better their own future. based on the principle of “see a problem, solve a problem”,our programs endeavor to implement practical solutions at the local level. integral to jwoc’s philosophy is our unique scholarship program. since jwoc’s inception in 2005, jwoc has enabled over 120 students to gain a university education, but beyond that has fostered the real change-makers of tomorrow. all our student
