joy oquendo foundation was established may 10, 2021. our mission is to help close the racial wealth gap by empowering low-to-moderate income minority youth to engage in extracurricular activities. the objective is to provide low-to-moderate minority youth with the proper tools in efforts to increase and sustain positive engagement. our vision is to share joy by closing the racial wealth gap one child at a time. our purpose is to close the racial wealth gap by offering long-lasting solutions that enable low-to-moderate income minority youth to break the cycle of poverty. joy oquendo foundation is a movement for change, empowering low-to-moderate minority youth to achieve positive engagement that leads to financial stability and better futures. joy oquendo foundation has three areas of focus, microloans, extracurricular and trade school scholarships. microloans are provided as start-up cost to assist youth with entrepreneurial efforts. extracurricular scholarships are made availa
