welcome to jamie penfold photography. for most of my life now i’ve had a camera. i took an interest in photography from an early age. my dad had a praktica 35mm camera and i used to watch him take photos with it and some of the photos he created. he wasn’t brave enough to let me use it so brought me my first camera for my 6th birthday…one of those old kodak disc cameras. it went everywhere with me. the earliest picture i remember taking was of windsor castle. as time went on, and several “point and shoot” cameras later, my dad finally decided to buy me my first 35mm slr camera…something to do with taking better photos than him with my “point and shoot” cameras. so on my 13th birthday i was given a pentax p30. and thats where my love of photography really took off. i’ve since become a successful wedding photographer following the disaster i experienced with my wedding photographer in 2000. i never thought back then that i’d be a full time professional photographer but here we are in 201
