background: jsfh was established in ghana in 2007 by william kudzo gati, edouardine amegee, and theresa ama bruku. our vision: a world of favorable conditions and opportunities which guarantees the sound growth and development of women and children. our mission: to create the requisite environment devoid of discrimination, violence, illiteracy, poor health and poverty to sustain the development of women and children. key issues: domestic and sexual violence, sexual exploitation, rape, girl child trafficking, teenage pregnancy, sexual and reproductive health, illiteracy and poverty. target groups: girls (0-18): teenage mothers, victims of violence, girl school dropouts, orphans and girls of broken marriages. women (19-40): victims of violence, divorced mothers, and rural, illiterate and peasant women farmers. areas of operation within ghana: rural communities in the south, central and north tongus districts, akatsi south and north districts and the keta municipality.
