i've been taking pictures with a slr ever since my introduction to photography class in high school. i learned the basics of exposure, aperture control, shutter speed, iso, and composition. after high school, my time behind a lens faded until i graduated college and bought myself a dslr; the rest is history. currently, i'm a professional recruiter; however, i operate jtc photography as a side business. i frequently find myself shooting events, concerts, construction, architecture, design, and portraits. i'm looking at spending more time on personal projects to build my portfolio; specifically seeking opportunities photographing people doing what the love, or next to possessions or items they are passionate about. i consider photography both a passion and a curse. a passion because it is an art that allows me to show people every day items from a different perspective. a curse because i find myself carrying a minimum of 20 pounds of gear and glass everywhere i go; one never knows when t
