we love to share… it gives us joy to see our friends experience what we value, what we cherish. some things are harder to share than others. one of these things is our interpretation of a concept. lets look to fantasy. no two man’s visions of fantasy are alike. your ideas of trees, goblins, demons are different then your neighbor. through words you can begin to enlighten others on how your world looks. but you are only sharing the concepts. the listener or reader still adds their minds eye. diluting the whole of what you want to convey. it is through illustration you get to share the style. your window to your world. with the contents of the image decided, now only one question remains; what “window” is yours? one image can set the stage for how your players envision your whole world. for example, if you show them a illustration that is cartoony. in their minds eye they will see the whole world this way. or you can show them a gritty monotoned ink drawing, setting an ominous atmosp
