Julia Hailes

my many green hats principally involve environmental consultancy, speeches and writing. i started in 1986 and since then have authored or co-authored nine books, co-founded a consultancy - sustainability ltd (1987) and a charity - haller (2002). i've also sat on the board of a number of organisations, including jupiter global green investment trust, the uk eco-labelling board and ecos trust and am currently a member of the food ethics council and waste watch, as well as advisory boards for ecotricity, m&s packaging and p&g cleaning products & baby care. my most long-standing clients include procter and gamble and marks & spencer. in 1992 i got a un global 500 award for outstanding environmental achievement and in 1999 an mbe.
