Jump Start Acting

acting classes, workshops and seminars for adults, teens and kids. this is a “master” class for beginning, intermediate and advanced students. through rigorous scene study and challenging monologues, we focus on understanding our characters through having a better understanding of ourselves. we don’t teach a particular method or technique because we draw upon many great teachers and philosophies. students learn how to access only what is needed to truthfully connect and exist as the character. our aim is to expose our vulnerabilities, strengths as well as our weaknesses so that we can more fully live as and through the characters we bring to life. and we not only deal with nerves and understanding copy, but we also focus on the business of being an actor. the more we can expose, the more truthful we can become. that’s what we mean by “no fake smiles
