smartsymbols™ (previously known as jumpgauge™) technology started out of the founders' vision of presenting product information in a visual, interactive way. combined with the concept of "permission marketing" pioneered by seth godin, such an approach would give people ability to find out the general, high-level infomation about a product at a glance, while letting them drill-down into the details of the product for as much and as long as they want. the technology started out in february 2008 as means to highlight specific benefits of eco-friendly products. soon, however, it became obvious that virtually all products would benefit from visual and engaging representation of thier qualities. while we still closely support green and eco-friendly products and companies, the breadth of smartsymbols™ technology has increased to appeal to consumer products, electronics, books and even job descriptions.
