jupiter was founded in 2003 and our flagship store is located at 10408-whyte avenue in edmonton. it is a family run business. tom sr. and denise doran opened one of the first metaphysical book stores in the city in the early 80's that was called the ananda book store; it was on whyte avenue and 108 street. denise was one of the founding members of the edmonton astrological society. tom doran sr. (aka tommy doran and tom drum) was one of the founding members of the tommy banks orchestra; he is considered by his peers to be one of the best jazz drummers of his generation. the business then evolved into a specialty gift manufacturing business that involved the creation of crystal figurines made from swarovski crystals. jupiter jewellery was incorporated on april 20, 1982. in the mid 90's we opened jupiter glass galleria in the same location where the current jupiter is located; it specialized in fine art glass collectibles from around the world. as most of that sector's manufacturin
