Juri Nishi

juri nishi is a multi-disciplinary designer working in the fields of illustration and interiors. she has been involved in a wide range of art and design fields ever since drawings first wandered across the pages of her story books. through her work she has developed a strong sense of colour, a sensitive visual appreciation and a unique imagination which she has learned to express through printmaking, animation, textile design, illustration and interior design. juri has worked in the domestic sphere as well as on commercial and social projects, including designing surfaces to add imaginative inspiration to a children’s psychiatric hospital. this and some of her other projects can be seen at www.jurinishi.com as well as a strong sense of aesthetics juri’s work seeks to articulate a narrative relationship with the people and the space for whom it is made. her process involves listening to their stories and finding creative ways to feed them into her work.
