Just Media Project

at the heart of our work, we ask: what if the story being told in the media matched the one being told in the streets and on the ground? and what if young, directly impacted, movement-aligned writers were the ones to cover it? just media serves as a “co-producer” of our fellows’ writing. this means we help develop, pitch, and edit it, and then our partners publish it. as such, we’re able to be flexible in placing a given piece of reporting based on its focus and scope—ranging from pieces about florida’s controversial hb1, which criminalizes protesters, to investigations into prison staffing and school policing policy in illinois and california.
