just one person is a micro nonprofit that is making slow and steady progress toward its long term goals by working with communities at the grassroots level to affect small incremental changes for girls and women in rural kenya. we began operations in 2008 with the simple mission of empowering 25 adolescent girls in rural kenya by providing educational workshops beyond academics. since then, based on this core mission, we’ve created an exemplary model of development that not only empowers girls, but schools, parents and communities as well.
