as part of its commitment to create mutual prosperity bank australia undertook a series of roundtable discussions in 2014 to gain a greater understanding of the issues relevant to its customers and stakeholders in the city of latrobe. the key issue was identified as being "young people disengaged and disempowered from employment and education." bank australia committed funding for a three-year period to undertake a project - latrobe youth choices - that would assist in addressing this issue using a collective impact approach. the youth choices steering committee adopted the concept of 'just one thing' for the project and consultants were engaged to test whether this concept would be helpful to young people. eight focus groups of young people were held and the participants were asked to discuss the following questions: - what does the latrobe valley look like in 2026? - where are you in 2026? - what are you doing? - how did you get there? - who helped you get there? - if you're not
