K Is for Kids Foundation

k is for kids(r) is a unique student volunteer-based nonprofit 501(c)3 organization based in naples, florida, with kids on both the giving and receiving ends of its mission building readers and leaders. the foundation also sponsors the "bring a book, bring a friend" for children's literacy month in february celebrating books and friends with the goal of giving kids in need more books to read. founded by karen d. clawson in february 2008 to help give students more books to read at school and at home, the foundation's roots were laid in 2001 when karen began volunteering in the classrooms and school library of her two children's elementary school.
