k202 is a game design studio in warsaw. our founder pawel smyla, a gamedev veteran, started his career working with adrian chmielarz on games in the metropolis studio (gorky 17, katharsis, reflux). he also took part in the creation of the first version of the famous the witcher in 1998. after the acquisition of metropolis by cd project, paweł moved to mirage where he managed the team and also worked on rpg games that were quite successful on the polish market. later paweł switched to online works, working for such famous authors as kurtis buckmaster and brian fargo, among others. in 2014 paweł founded k202, which was soon joined by andrzej pieniazek, a polish engineer and entrepreneur living in germany. in 2016, the original idea of berlin wall was born. the game was devoted to the history of escaping through the berlin wall. the idea stems partly from the fact that andrzej pieniazek, who has lived in berlin for many years, is himself an enthusiast of the city's recent history. in 2017
