k4 soils was established as a partnership in 1993 for the provision of laboratory and field testing services within the geotechnical engineering and related industries. k4 soils is a ukas accredited laboratory (ukas accreditation no. 2519). the partners have extensive knowledge of soil testing and foundation design and if required are able to assist in choosing the most appropriate testing for our clients. we have an extensive range of equipment to cover all testing needs and have multiple apparatus to assist us in meeting deadlines for even some of the more advanced testing such as oedometers, effective stress, shearbox and permeability testing. as well as our in house soils testing, we also carry out on site in-situ testing. we are ukas accredited for in-situ cbr tests, plate loading tests, in-situ density tests and dcp (dynamic cone penetrometer) tests.
